Avante is an aluminum-frame door with glass infill — the frame is structural, the panels are glass. Frame finishes include clear anodized, dark bronze, and powder-coated colors. Glass options are extensive: clear, frosted, tinted, mirrored, white-laminate, tempered, even acrylic for weight savings.
What Avante isn't: a thermally insulated door. Glass infill — even insulated/dual-pane glass — has a lower R-value than insulated steel. For attached garages with bedrooms above, this matters; for detached garages or warm-climate-style attached garages with separate-zone heating, it doesn't.

Is Avante insulated?
Avante is available with insulated dual-pane glass options, but the door's overall thermal performance is lower than insulated steel doors because glass has inherently lower R-value than foam-filled steel. For attached garages with conditioned spaces above, Reynolds usually recommends insulated steel (Modern Steel, Coachman, etc.) instead — or specifying separate-zone heating for the garage.
What glass options are available?
